this week was really fun....i did 30 hour famine. it's this thing where you dont eat for 30 hours and raise money for hungry children in third world countries. It was really cool because we got to feel what the poor children felt...i mean...everytime someone says a sentence a child dies..and like my frends and I were complainin about how we were so tired and hungry and we knew we could get something to eat once the 30 hours was over. but those children dont even know when they're goin to eat next...think about it. so anyway, while we were fastin we split into 3 different projects (o btw, we slept over the church...it was so much fun! and it was COLD lol) I did the thrift shop, so we went to the Salvation Army and organized all these clothes, organized shoes, dusted, and it was really fun but tiring. Then we went back to the church, hung out, then went to Acme to buy food for this shelter...we had a scavenger hunt and you should of seen it..ASIAN INVASION! lol esther...ppl were starin at us like we were crazy and we were..pushing people and stuff cuz whoever found the items first got to eat first when we vroke the fast...so anyways we had SO much fun..*where's the jello? lol michelle* and anyways after we juss went back to the church and shared about our experience...then it was time to EAT again! i ate so fast that i got sick....lol..anyway..it was really fun. but i never realized how much i took food for granted.lol
